Welsh Lab - University at Albany

About the Lab

Welsh Lab Trivia

The Welsh lab was established in 1985 at the University of Ottawa

Due to our co-localization and close collaboration with the Tenniswood lab, everyone calls us "Welshwood"

The "official" lab mascots are our Golden Retrievers:

Allie, Diba and Birch

The Welsh lab is a basic research lab located in the University at Albany Cancer Research Center in Rensselaer, NY.

We conduct molecular and cellular laboratory research on breast cancer and other chronic diseases. Our emphasis is on understanding how cancer can be prevented and how treatment of existing cancers can be optimized.
